Network devices or network equipment are different types of electronic devices used in networking. Network devices in a computer network, between computers, fax machines, printers, etc network devices are primarily used to transmit and receive the data securely and quickly. Intra network or internetwork- is the two types of network devices. Some devices are installed on the device like RJ45 connector, NIC card, while other devices are built-in parts of the network such as a switch, router, etc. These types of particular devices are able to handle electrical or digital connections to perform their exclusive roles in an efficient manner. In a computer network, each network device usually plays a prominent role depending on its functions and works for different purposes at different segments.

Network Hub
One kind of networking device in a computer network is the Hub Networking. It is used for communication with numerous network hosts
and for data transferring as well. The data transfer in a computer network may
be executed in the form of packets. The data can be transmitted to all the
connected ports if the data processing is done from a host to a network hub. Inefficiencies
and wastage may happen since all the ports identify the data path. A network hub is not considered safe and secure because of this process. Additionally,
copying the data packets on all the ports may get the hub to work slower and then the network the switch needs to be utilized. Active hub & passive hub are the two types of
network hubs. Some popular network hubs are 4 Port, 7 Port, 16 Port, and 3 Port.
